2020. It’s been a convoluted kind of year, both personally and professionally for a lot of folks. Maybe you’ve been coping with loved ones getting sick, balancing working from home for the first time, feeling separated from those close to you, retooling your business strategy, or revisiting your God-given purpose and goals. Maybe all of the above (and then some).
When I was planning out my 2020 a year ago, I didn’t foresee that I’d be getting married or relocating to a new city during a pandemic. But it happened. I made adjustments to my plans, and I kept moving forward.
But even during all the uncertainty and twists and turns, one thing remains constant. That thing is my LOVE for coaching women who are project management leaders and technology professionals.
I support women in their quest for something more, something greater. I partner with them to find clarity amidst their biggest career and life challenges and to S-T-R-E-T-C-H themselves beyond where they thought they could ever be.
Yes, even during a pandemic, maybe especially during a pandemic.
Today I am thankful and blessed to share a new achievement with my community.
Three capital letters, and I’d add an exclamation mark too, if I could!
I’m talking about the new addition to my signature. Three letters worthy enough to follow my hard-earned PMP. The International Coaching Federation’s ACC credential: Associate Certified Coach.
What does this mean, and why did I dedicate the last 3 years, 150 coaching hours, 150+ education and training hours, mentoring time, and pass a 3-hour knowledge assessment exam for this pursuit?
Well, that’s the reason behind the exclamation mark. For starters, the ACC represents knowledge, proficiency, and a commitment to high ethical standards. I am aligned with other elite coaching professionals and colleagues who embrace a similar passion and journey. Those three capital letters remind me that stretch goals can be attained, even during a pandemic, and that this “pinch me” reality I’m experiencing now is so amazing.
Most importantly, achieving the ACC credential represents not an ending, but a start.
It marks the start of my continued growth, learning, and practice. There are more wonderful hours ahead of me doing the thing I LOVE, and I’d be delighted to support you with stretching yourself and your goals to make your future “pinch me” worthy.
